This will be a series dedicated to discussing the ways in which masculinities impact us in a variety of ways. Approaching masculinity(ies) from an intellectual and social approach we will examine the often taken for granted assumptions and beliefs people have of what masculinity is and what it should be. Masculinity is something we have made; therefore, it is something that can be unmade and reshaped. First letting go of the assumption that there is one universal biologically determined way for men and boys to be. Masculinities take many forms and expressions. But what structures all of this is the pillar that what boys and men do is of singular importance. Whether it is deemed positive or negative. Dropping this first assumption that what boys or men do is always and inevitably crucial will help us resituate how we can rethink and reconsider what it is to be a boys/men/males/transmen/intersex men. Follow along as I discuss different topics/themes connected to masculinity:

·      Masculinity and Sports

·      Masculinity and Fatherhood

·      Masculinity and Work

·      Masculinity and Testosterone

·      Masculinity and Queerness

·      Masculinity and Marriage

Each of these themes will be discussed from my personal experiences connected to my intellectual and research background as an activist anthropologist with an expertise in masculinity.
